You are NOT alone! Join us for Sensational Brain’s first ever virtual summit for School-Based OTs! This year’s summit will enable you to make decisions to guide your practice in everything from conducting effective teacher in-service training to evidence-based pull-out therapy.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify skill deficits best addressed by each of the following methods of service delivery: school-wide initiatives, teacher training, Tier 2 intervention, consultation, push-in (group and one-on-one) services, pull-out (group and one-on one services).
  2. Collaborate with therapists from across the nation on overcoming obstacles in providing best practice.
  3. Delineate laws that guide service provision and communicate them effectively with intervention teams.
  4. Discuss use of IEPs and goal-writing to support and effectively communicate service delivery methods selected.
  5. Access resources and forms to support best practice in service provision.

Kim Wiggins, OTR/L, has specialized in the treatment of children since 2001 and is the owner of Kim has been a nationally known speaker for since 2011 and is certified in many areas, including Mobile Devices for Children with Disabilities.

Gwen Wild, MOT, OTR/L, is an experienced occupational therapist specializing in the treatment of children and adolescents diagnosed with autism and sensory processing disorders. Gwen is the owner of Sensational Brain LLC and creator of BrainWorks sensory diet tools.

Kim and Lori receive payment for the course but do not have any other financial or nonfinancial interest in the presentation. As the owner of Sensational Brain LLC, Gwen benefits financially from the sale of products and educational materials.

Post-Test: Before receiving a certificate, learners must take an objective post-test to demonstrate they acquired the learning outcomes. An attestation statement is included indicating the learner viewed the entire course and completed the post-test independently. A passing grade is ≥ 70%.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
